How to Ask the Right Questions

Last week, I shared some information about Mercury Retrograde. I hope you had some fun with it.

My Gemini is in the first house and I’ve spent this time looking at my identity and “rethinking my role as a curious leader and what is my big message that I am really meant to share.”

And as a result of this, I’ve started a blog!  So, now you’ll be able to click on read more, go to my blog, and leave your comments.

I’m really excited about this because it gives us a chance to talk with each other!

And there are other changes that I’ll share with you soon!

I never planned to do this…LOL

Did you get any surprises from this Retrograde period of reinvention?

I’d love to hear about them!

My goal with that last email was to offer you a new perspective on Mercury Retrograde—from seeing it as a problem to seeing it as an opportunity.

Let’s see how we can use that perspective across the board.

Because there are so many ways in which challenges can be seen as opportunities.

And oh my, that change in perspective can make a huge difference in the outcomes you experience.

It is like saying that you move from seeing something as a problem into the solution sphere.

You know, it can be a trap to get stuck in the problem, thinking about it, ruminating over it, and most importantly asking the wrong questions about it.

Just the act of asking the questions can flip you out spinning in your mind.

AND HERE’S HOW:

And of course, when you ask the questions while connecting with your heart, you add clarity and power to your answers.

Let me give you some examples that you can use today.

So, questions like:

Why did this happen?

Who is responsible for this?

won’t lead you to the solution.

Instead, if you ask questions like:

How can I move forward?

What would be my next best step?

will actually put you in the solution sphere and help you to resolve the situation.

Generally speaking, HOW and WHAT questions will lead you forward. And so stick with those.

OH BUT, questions like What is wrong with me? or What is the problem with this situation? won’t work either.

Of course, the answer to both is nothing.

And those questions won’t give you any guidance because they are not focused on solutions!

And the best part is that there are a million ways the answers can come to you, like the lilies in the field.

Heads up, listen, and notice! You can be your own Sherlock Holmes and put the pieces together.

HOW?

You can journal, draw, walk-in nature to make yourself available to the answers. You can notice a song coming on the radio or see a sign on a truck or a building, or you can overhear a conversation.

If you’ve ever seen that classic movie, Field of Dreams, you’ll see the many different ways that guidance is given. Watching that is a sort of a fun way to remind yourself of what is possible.

You can have so much fun asking and receiving.

With love,

Serena 🧡

P.S. Let me know what you have discovered!
